Building Science
During the 1980's and 90's, a lack of sound building science principles in
the British Columbia construction industry resulted in an unparalleled national
disaster. “Leaky Condos” represented a $2 billion problem in the
coastal areas of the province. In 1998, Chatwin Engineering assembled a group
of engineers and scientists whose combined knowledge developed solutions to
this costly problem. Today, the experienced Building Science Group at Chatwin
Engineering provides innovative solutions to retrofitting existing failed buildings
and unique solutions to new building construction
