Chatwin Engineering’s Victoria Building Science team are very proud of the success and recognition of one of their projects. (Tuesday May 12, 2009)

The “Armada” project is the winner of five 2008 Gold CARE Awards (Construction Achievements and Renovations of Excellence).

Aside from winning the Project of the Year award, this project has taken the gold award for Best Single Family Detached Custom Home over 5,000 sq. ft., Best Bathroom, Best Master Suite and Best Residential Interior More Than 3,000 sq. ft.. Armada was also recognized as the People’s Choice Award.

Chatwin provided a standard envelope detail package for this project, for the details that could be considered ‘standard’, which weren’t a lot! Many of the details were worked out on site with the developer/contractor during construction. We were somewhat reluctant to work on this project given some of the unique and difficult envelope design considerations and the fact that we had not worked with the developer prior to this project, however; the project turned out great.
