Benefits of Living on Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island and southwestern British Columbia are known for having the best climate in Canada. We are surrounded by some of the most beautiful wilderness, beaches and recreational areas in the world. Summer temperatures are usually high 20’sC and in winter, if it falls below 10°C, you have the consolation of great skiing and snowboarding. Mount Washington ski resort is reputed to have had the most snow in North America for many years. If surfing is your thing, take the stunning drive to Long Beach, or drive the road to Sooke for world-class conditions.

Whether you fish, hike, sunbathe, ski or enjoy the cultural events of a city, we have it all, complete with campgrounds, wilderness retreats and resorts known internationally for their spas and chefs. Ferries leave hourly to Vancouver from Nanaimo and daily to Washington State from Victoria. The seaplanes are a pleasure not to be missed – Nanaimo to Vancouver is a gorgeous 20-minute flight.

Surrounded by beautiful beaches and ski resorts, Vancouver Island has been a magnet; the influx of people moving to the Island has created new subdivisions and commercial developments. For us, that means more jobs and ever-changing communities to enjoy.  Check out this website for Island information:  www.vancouverisland.com
